Provides intensive assistance with job search for those with marketable job skills
Provides assistance with resume writing for those with marketable job skills
Provides training for those lacking marketable job skills:
Provides job seeker assistance for anyone laid off due to a plant closing or downsizing
Provides training in labor demand fields for those whose skills are no longer marketable
Provides full-time on-the-job training leading to full-time employment
Training is available to qualified dislocated workers and other qualified individuals experiencing economic hardship.
Provides job search assistance including computers, photocopier, fax machine and telephone
Posts newspaper want-ads and other employment opportunities
Provides resume and job search assistance available
Provides occupational skills training grants to eligible dislocated workers, unemployed youth, and individuals without marketable job skills
Includes 'Learning Links': basic skills remediation, ESL and computer literacy training
Learning Links is available to anyone eligible to work in the United States, currently employed or unemployed
Provides cash assistance and support services (for example: child care and transportation) for up to 24 months for eligible individuals
Eligibility is those who have reached the five-year limit for TANF cash assistance and do not qualify for an exemption
Provides remedial education, labor market information, and job placement assistance to those aged 16 through 21
Counseling, life skills/job skills training, GED preparation and basic education, mentoring, tutoring and other supportive services are offered through various public and non-profit agencies
Provides case management, intensive career counseling, job search skills training, occupational training, job placement assistance, and/or other support services to those on public assistance
Provides services including child care and transportation assistance both while attending approved activities, and for a 24 month post-TANF employment period to those on public assistance
Provides assistance with car repairs, insurance, work clothes, etc.to help a TANF recipient get or keep a job
Provides TANF recipients or TANF-eligible individuals with the ability to obtain a college degree without counting time spent in school toward the 5-year time limit on TANF cash assistance (Smart Steps Program)
Offers working post-TANF recipients an opportunity to attend additional classroom or distance learning programs (Career Advancement Voucher program)
