The Municipal Alliances are community-based organizations, comprised mainly of volunteers, who provide substance abuse prevention programs in their communities.

      Provides oversight of the Morris County Human Services Advisory Council (HSAC).

      The HSAC seeks to enhance deliver of human services through collaborative relationships within the county, and between counties and State agencies. Activities include identifying high priority needs related to low-income individuals/families at-risk of becoming homeless.

      The HSAC plans, coordinates and implements department initiatives; provides input on funding priorities and allocations; and reviews and monitors existing purchase of service contracts.

      Responsibilities include oversight of the Youth Services Advisory Committee (YSAC) and its various subcommittees, monitoring subgrants through the Juvenile Justice Commission, and providing continual support and assistance to subgranted agencies.
